20 Signs You Really, Really Hate People

20 Signs You Really, Really Hate People.

T.G.I.F.! This week has presented me with more administrative work than I thought would have been possible. Today I stopped answering the phone, ignored my e-mail inbox and acted busy while eating lunch in the hopes that no one would engage me. I wolfed down my food, thinking all of the time that everyone was just being a pain. My discontent for everyone had to have been revealed by my facial expression. None of the usual chatters talked to me during lunch. Upon returning to my desk I decided to find some good Karma to finish the day on a high note. I logged on to “Freshly Pressed” in search of something interesting to read. I came across this post. Maybe landing her can be chalked up to fate. The truth; this post has made me think about where my emotional balance has gone or where it might be going. On the one hand, I’d like to enjoy for a few moments the post’s humorous content, but I do not want to ignore its serious tongue and check commentary on social isolation.  The post is well written, and it’s artistic creativity is alluring. Yet, I do not want to hate anyone (without good cause), and I prefer not to be hated (if avoidable). Time to finish my work with a smile on my face. Thanks.

Asiana Crash: the role of media in modern day racism

Asiana Crash: the role of media in modern day racism.

Maybe I lack the prerequisite sensitivity to recognize the racism that you are discussing. In the simplest terms I do not agree with your premises and conclusions. I did not notice any significant up-tick in animosity, racial or otherwise, after the crash towards Koreans or Asians in general. Because people are free to think as they do and express their thoughts via any number of social medias, it would be absurd to think that racism would not rear its head in the threads. Racism expressed in social media is nothing new and will not be eradicated any time soon, if ever. Let’s be honest with each other it is not just Americans who express “racist views” or opinions based upon illogical and offensive stereotypes. As an international society we have, in my opinion, become too concern about controlling free speech and offensive thoughts. What one person considers to be sign of racism another person sees a legitimate expression of indignation. There were far more tweets expressing sadness and condolences than racist ones.
